Track 5, Chasing Cars

I LOVE Snow Patrol, I introduced them to Nathan when we met and when we first were married, Chasing Cars was almost a theme song in our home. We moved away from all our family and were there in Texas by ourselves.
This song enpowered us and encouraged us, that we could do it ourselves, not in a we don't need anyone kind of way but in a we are our own family now and we can do it, kind of way, whether people stick by us, abandon us, or we just change paths we can do it ourselves with God's strength and guidance. It reminded us to find an escape from our thoughts when laying in each others arms, to not just say I love you but to show it in our actions as well, that the grace we give each other helps us to find our own grace for others and ourselves, and last but not least that we see each other for who we were and are and will be and still love each other unconditionally. What a GREAT song! Here's the link to the video as always:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f_gnmBtM49U

Chasing Cars
Snow Patrol

We'll do it all
Everything
On our own

We don't need
Anything
Or anyone

If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me
And just forget the world?

I don't quite know
How to say
How I feel

Those three words
Are said too much
They're not enough

If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me
And just forget the world?

Forget what we're told
Before we get too old
Show me a garden
That's bursting into life

Let's waste time
Chasing cars
Around our heads

I need your grace
To remind me
To find my own

If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me
And just forget the world?

Forget what we're told
Before we get too old
Show me a garden
That's bursting into life

All that I am
All that I ever was
Is here in your perfect eyes
They're all I can see

I don't know where
Confused about how as well
Just know that these things
Will never change for us at all

If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me
And just forget the world?

Laying with him,

I LOVE this song too! This is one of my all time favorites. I was so excited to hear this song played at my Church one week! And it was one of the few weeks that my husband came, so it made the day even more perfect:)
